Healthy Grilling For Arthritis Relief
Looking forward to fall cookouts? You don't have to skip the grill! Making a few simple food swaps can help reduce inflammation, support joint health, and keep your favorite fall traditions healthier.
Main Dishes
🍄 Meaty Mushrooms
Try replacing greasy burgers and hot dogs with mushrooms marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and lemon juice. These ingredients provide immune-supporting nutrients, while olive oil contains oleocanthal, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound.
🐟 Salmon With Herbs
Salmon topped with lemon and herbs provides omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D, which support joint health and help protect against inflammation.
Condiments
🌿 Fresh Salsa
Swap sugary ketchup for antioxidant-rich salsa or pico de gallo. It adds fresh flavor while providing nutrients with very little fat or calories.
🍅 Olive Oil Spreads
Olive oil pesto and sundried tomato spreads provide anti-inflammatory benefits from ingredients like basil, olive oil, and tomatoes.
Side Dishes
🥗 Bean Salad
Instead of mayo-based salads, choose bean salad for fiber, protein, and anti-inflammatory nutrients that support overall wellness.

Fresh tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil create a delicious side packed with lycopene and healthy fats.

Real Results. Real Recovery.
This time, I had done my own research to find the right physical therapy place that would be the best for me and I thank God, literally, it was PPT that I had decided on!!! As always, I was a little nervous before my first appointment, hoping I'd feel exactly what their previous patients felt, after reading their many reviews on how they got real help from therapists that really care. This was most important to me because I already had two bad experiences at separate PTs many, many years prior, so I needed a serious therapist(s) that could actually "feel" and understand my pain simply by touching it and know what to do to reduce it for me- help me, either through deep tissue massage &/or exercises. From day one, I knew I was at the right place because that is exactly what they did for me.
From the moment I walked through their door, I felt a warm welcome! The sitting area was inviting, there was a TV on that had random facts and showed pictures of all the employees with part of their history, they had equipment and shoe wear for sale and I spotted fresh apples on the counter for the taking. Everyone I came in contact with was upbeat, engaging, even though they were constantly busy with patients or doing chores, you could tell they had a good team and system down. I mainly went in after 3 pm and had different therapists but each and every one was kind, knew what they were doing, and I felt comfortable working with each of them.
I really like the private rooms, that one-on-one with your therapist makes it so much easier to talk in privacy and allow them to work on your problematic areas without worrying if anyone else is hearing you moan and groan in pain to get through the hands-on therapy &/or other exercises. After all these years, I still tend to hold my breath to get past the pain so I am still learning how to concentrate and release it through breathing exercises.
To all those at PPT and Steve, thank you for being you my friends!!! I haven't had any more flare-ups or severe pain in my right hip to groin and I'm very grateful for all the exercises you left me with to do at home too. If there's a next time, which I pray won't be, I know who I'm going to call right away to help me again!!!
I HIGHLY recommend PPT to everyone! You will be seen and heard from the minute you open their door, they all take your pain seriously and will give you personalized exercises to help correct your painful areas, if possible. I know I will never be 100% again but I won't give up trying as I continue to work hard, to keep myself strong, up & about, and mobile as much as possible. But, if caught early enough, getting physical therapy can and will help you to realign yourself with their help and guidance.
If you, yes YOU 🫵😉, are reading this right now... I am praying for your health and healing too... God is so good, without Him I wouldn't have ever survived this long or wanted to.
😇 May our Lord be with you 🙏 always, Amen"
