Tweener Program
What is a 'Tweener' and am I one?
Here at PPT, a Tweener is someone who no longer needs the one-on-one care that is provided in physical therapy, but is not ready to work out in our fitness center independently. Tweeners usually:
- Have just been discharged from PT, but still like a little helping hand;
- Never really exercised in a 'gym', and need some confidence;
- Have a medical issue that makes them highly value the safety of someone watching them;
- Someone who has balance or cognitive problems that makes safety a concern.
How does the program work?
If you are being given the ok to be discharged from therapy, your physical therapist will already know what he/she wants you to do. Most likely you will be matched with one of our aides who already knows your program. We will have that aide follow you during your workout, guaranteeing a safe and effective workout FOR YOU!! If there are any questions or concerns, your aide comes right to your PT to get the answer. It is that simple. Safe. Effective. The Tweener program for you is only $15 a session.
If you have never been to our physical therapy practice, a PT will evaluate you from head to toe. Flexibility, strength, balance, agility, and overall function will be tested with simple tools. This will form the baseline for future re-evaluations to MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS! You will see the difference in the numbers that we measure. After your evaluation, your PT will make a custom exercise program just for you! You will then be assigned an aide, who will follow you in the fitness center to guarantee safety and success. The Tweener program for new members is only $100 for the evaluation and program development, and $15 per session afterwards.
